Grandparents’ Blessings for Asher: Bubbie

For the last few months, what loomed in my head is what the baby would be like.

I knew the baby would be wholesome in character like Kara and Brian.

I knew he would see life as a responsibility to give something back to the world like Kara and Brian.

I knew he would be an independent thinker to lead a reflective and meaningful life just like Kara and Brian.

Finally would he be as loving? At that moment I felt that his great-grandparents, my mother and father, Gerry, Ruth, and Molly smiling down because they all knew that Kara came into this world as a loving baby and always remained affectionate, kind, and caring.  After Asher was born, I heard Kara crying and when I asked why she said, “I just love him so much.”

From the first time I met Brian he has shown his loving spirit.  Most recently he has exhibited patience and concern to Kara throughout her pregnancy, delivery and in the past few days to his baby.  It was a joy to watch him swaddle his new son in the burrito style and how he helped encouraged Kara with nursing.

The questions I had have been resolved. Asher Henry Schultz has the most wonderful future because he has the most wonderful parents.
